*laughs* Shizzy.. you have NO IDEA about the spiders in Australia.. *giggles* Its part of the joy of being in such a beautiful country...
I was okay with spiders.. welllllllll kinda okay with spiders till I was about fifteen. We lived in a high set house in the bush and I was walking down the back outside staircase when a huntsman spider spun down and landed on my face. It was big enough to wrap its legs around both of my ears as all I could see was its brown hairy body. I screamed and fell down the stairs, and my dog was licking my face to get the spider off but it just pissed the spider off more and he started squeezing around my ears. So my mum comes down the stairs to find me screaming with the dog licking my face. So she smacks the dog.. as you do.. *shrugs and rolls eyes* and then she goes to do the laundry, leaving me laying there screaming with a freakin spider draped over my face.. She said later on that she did see the spider on my face but it didnt register in her brain as she just thought my hair was draped over my face. *ponders this* Considering the fact I was blonde at the time and the horrid thing was a dark brown, I think its safe to say my mum wouldnt win any awards in obvseration skills... anyhoos.. the point.. yes there is one in there somewhere.. is that after spending nearly twenty minutes with this thing latched onto my face, Im pretty confident that I am allowed to be scared of the hairy little shits.
And I too have narrowly missed driving into the car in front of me cause I thought a spider was running up my leg. Turns out it was a stray strand of cotton, but ya never know.. ;D

A friend of mine had one of those flying, biting ants on her and she drove into a swamp. Lol. People don't mesh with bugs. And damn it, you're damn straight I'm a fraidy cat. Those Australian spiders are monsters and Florida seems to have them as well...<>cries and hides<> No risk of me driving into anyone, though. I can't drive.

I once did have a spider crawl up my leg while I was in the car. Freaked the shit out of me. Fortunately, I wasn't driving. ;D
