Hello beautiful people of this new world called Morthika. My name is Laken and I love to wright and am a very creative person. I can handle many characters and play different genders. My main character as of now is named Ivy Rose Moon. She is a shape shifter of sorts but likes to stay in her human form. Bold, blunt, and to the point she will fight for her freedom. Her flaws consist of a fiery temper, and not caring for others. Once her walls are busted down though you will see a whole, new, person. She is my child, my baby, and I cherish her character and hope to see her grow. I know, I am a nerd. As for me, well right now I am in love with slave/master role plays and modern role plays. I am kind of shy right now so I was hoping to do a couple of private role plays through messages to get me warm up. I have role played on many sights before but I am still shy in new environments. Once I break out of my shell though you will want to get rid of me quickly! Being a creative person as well I always have new ideas for role plays and plots so I am hoping I can give to this sight. For limits, I have none really. Romance is a huge part of writing and I hate when it is banned since that, to me, is like censoring our freedom of speech. I understand that some kids are too young to see that but they will look at the t.v set or pick up a book soon enough. Plus we can always lock the thread so only the people in the role play can see it. Language, again I have none to that. Writing, I want at least a paragraph or two. I am babbling, but I am excited to be here.  |

Hi Laken!! And welcome to Morthika.
Well, it seems you are a creative person, and if that’s the case Morthika is the place for you! As you can see if you look around the place, we have a lot of creative people here who love to babble just as much as you do (if not more) so I am sure you will fit right in.
Your main character sounds very interesting. You say she is a shapeshifter? What does she shift into? We have a current plot happening down at the bottom of the board in the realm called Anima di oggi which deals with vampires and werewolves. I’m sure we could accommodate your Character down there. OR we also have a current plot happening in Deepdwellers Gulch where a shapeshifter should fit in perfectly with the weird and wonderful characters we have currently in play. Please, check out the plots and realms and let us know which ones you might like to join. You can have as many characters and be involved in as many plots as you like. All we ask is that if you decide to take on a character and enter a plot, you make the commitment to try to post at least once a week. It just gets frustrating for the other people in the plot if we have to wait more than a week for our turn ya know? I understand from your profile that you are under eighteen? From what you said in your intro though, you don’t have a problem with romance and such, which is great cause you will find a lot of that here. Please note that some of the realms do have an eighteen plus restriction on them though. Of course, you may choose to enter but please be aware they do contain adult content. I see you like a paragraph or two for your RP? *laughs* You will have paragraphs coming out of your ears here.. don’t you worry about that. Most of us, especially MOI tend to write EPIC posts.. *rolls eyes and grins*
There aren’t many rules here, so if you check out the rest of Newbyville it should tell you everything you need to know. One thing we do like to insist on, is that you try to be extra careful with spelling and grammar. When you are someone like me who types a million miles an hour, we understand the odd typo here and there, but it is really difficult for others to read writing that is full of typos, spelling mistakes and poor grammar. One little thing? I know it may sound like I’m being finicky (its what I do.. LoL) but in future, if you could write WRITE instead of WRIGHT and SITE instead of SIGHT, it would be uber fantastic. Just little things like that tend to bring out the teacher in me, (I work with kids and am studying to be at teacher. )
All that said, if I could ask you THREE favours?
One.. when you get a chance, head down to our character section and post up a character bio for your main girl and any other characters you might like to play here. It gives the rest of us an idea who your Character is and what plots she might best fit in with.
Two… could you let us know how you found Morthika? It just helps us with advertising and such if we know how people find our happy home.
And Three… SPREAD THE WORD!! You mentioned you have played on lots of other sites, so spread the word to everyone you know that loves RP and let them know this place exists okies? We are all about sharing the love.
Oh before I forget… *hands over the welcomatory pint of Gummi Berry Juice*
Drink this.. it makes you bounce.. and apart from helping you join us bouncing off the walls in this place, it will help you feel at home.

Thank you so much for your warm welcome it means a lot. ~Smile and gulps down the drink causing my eyes to go wide in shock before launching my body up into the sky.~ Wow, what a drink!
Okay back to business. I am sorry for my typos I am still learning my grammar and plan to take journalism once out of high school. I found this sight randomly on Google while searching for good role play forums. Am I glad I found this sight. My character is posted and I have looked around a little bit, I was wondering if there is a part of the forum where I can ask for a private role play.
Like I said in my intro I am a bit shy and would like to get a private role play going with maybe another newbie or even a veteran so I know what I am doing. I know I am not bad at role playing if anything I am pretty good, but I just want to get to know the limits and such on this sight. If I am making any sense that is a miracle.

Beleive it or not I understood all that quite easily . I'm Sabis (Eric) as my main character, he's a ranger, the exact opposite of yours. Born human, then CHOSE the wilds over civlization. Well, that plus being an Immortal (Highlander) kinda makes him stand out  |

Heya, dak (or patrick) here. Man that was a big tank of gummi berry juice... If you want to join the deepdwellers story feel free to send me a message sometime and we can roleplay out a tie in between the characters in that setting and your character (shapeshifters == my favorite kind of characters btw. Its like having a roleplay within a roleplay.)
Look forward to seeing ya around and rping. This crew is the tops, and I'm not just saying that in hopes of getting more gummi berry juice. (though itd be groovy if some found its way to me)

Ahh, yes here we are again with the character infomative mabobber thingy. profile(s). well, no detailed profiles yet, though in the event that I find or develop a plot, you'll likely find me under this current name, or maybe i'll reach into the old black box and pull out my Mystic Tavern name, Raven Blackheart  . . . probably not though, I've had a many conflicts using that name since Lycos shut down her chats. . . I played a variety of characters there and I'm really just making this to see if anyone here remembers particular characters like CIoud Strife, Raven Blackheart, Nusakan Strife, ehh, i played some others though i dont remember them well . . . but RBH was my most commonly used. Yea. . . ok im done for now, bye. |

Hmm...Cloud Strife rings a bell. Unless someone else used that with a lowercase 'L' and not a capital 'i'... I don't remember noticing the difference...
I never got involved with Strifes and Blackhearts, so we probably never RP'd together before, but welcome to Morthika all the same!

I've been RPing for years and years now, bout a decade or so in fact. Maybe longer. Way way back at a chat site called six degrees, in the vampyre tavern that was there. Seems to be alot of that room all over the net  SOme good folks, and alot of bad ones. |

Hi. I am very new to this site. It does seem like a friendly and creative place. Although I joined awhile ago, I still haven't had enough time to read around as I would like to. I spend most of my internet time on facebook. I enjoy writing and am trying to publish a scifi book currently ans it takes up most of my time beside my real life. There are a few active plots, including "The War Between Light and Dark" and "Parasych Park," and a few plots that are just stalled out ("Deepdweller's Gulch," "New Storm City," and "Route 666"). Take a look around, and if you don't find anything you like, feel free to start something new in "Group Roleplays" If you have any questions, feel free to ask! ;D |

First post on this section in a while and my first post! I'm Lea, new to the boards but not to RP, i've been RP'ing since I was 15 with a break in between when I was at college so 17-19-ish. I've done mostly chat based RP, starting in Yahoo chat rooms all those years ago then over to The Keep and most recently on YIM with the lovely Remus. My oldest character is Asamara, she has gone everywhere with me since the beginning. I've joined to use LittleMy, she's my youngest character at just 14 but she's just as stubborn as I am and quite a sneaky little theif  Remus pointed me in this direction so I thought i'd give it a go, new to me so i'm hoping I can keep up with the standards of posting! |
