* Diana just glared angrily at Agent Simmons as he made his fairy joke. She couldn’t realy blame him for his response, hell, she didn’t know what to believe herself.
Sighing, she turned around to leave. ~Oh just forget it then. I’ll let you get back to your obviously important police work of scoffing burgers. Heaven forbid I should tear you away from such vital duties.~
She was saved from storming off in a huff when he raised his hand and offered an apology and a lift to the pool. Grumbling, she begrudgingly accepted and walked around the front of the large vehicle. She had never ridden in one of these before and after barely being able to reach the door handle on the passenger side, she hoisted herself up into her seat and slammed the door shut. Realising she had sat on something, she pulled a greasy burger wrapper out from under her ass.
~Charming!~ she muttered, as she slipped her seat belt on and clipped it in place. Glancing over at Agent Simmons she rolled her eyes.
~Well, if we are going, lets go! Some kid I spoke to said she was at the pool, which apparently we will find if we follow that road. ~ she said, pointing in the direction they needed to go.
With a smug grin on her lips, she couldn’t help but add
~You’ve got sauce on your chin.~ *

He was glad she came back, and unlocked the passenger door for her. He was about to mention the wrapper before she threw herself on it. He grabbed the wrapper from the floor and stuffed it into the bag between the seats, then started up the engine, a tad embarrassed now. As she mentioned the sauce, he wiped his chin with his shirt sleeve, and pulled out of the parking spot.
"What else did this kid tell you?" he asked as they drove out of the parking lot. He could already see the pool down the street. He was sure he should mention something about letting the 'FBI' handle the investigation, but at this point he was sure she wouldn't listen.
The black Hummer churned its way down the road, and he was starting to get nervous that she might start looking around too much. The interior seemed normal enough, but it was worn and seemed a bit too 'lived-in' for an official government vehicle, and held none of the 'official' trimmings one might find in a law enforcement transport.

*Diana shrugged in response to his question as she looked around the inside of the car. It didn’t look like a government car, any more than this guy looked like an agent from the government. She still couldn’t shake the feeling that he was far more than he appeared to be, but for now, he was helping her find out what happened to her sister and that was all that realy mattered.
~ He didn’t tell me anything else. Though I have met another friend of Emily’s. I know you think its all a load of bullshit, but so far, from what I’ve been able to find out, this bitch Lucinda dared my sister to play Bloody Mary. Apparently she had the hots for Em’s boyfriend, though I don’t know if that had anything to do with it.. knowing girls as well as I do though, I’d have to say.. it did. So, Emily is in the bathroom playing Bloody Mary. She starts to scream, she tries to get out but the door is locked somehow.. from the inside! By the time the door is finally opened and the girls can get to her… she… ~ she gulped and sniffed back the tears that threatened to fall. ~ she … was… you know..~
Her breath caught in her throat as a sob escaped. Falling silent, Diana turned her head away from him and looked out the window, willing her tears to stop. *

((Sorry for the delay, lost my password for this account, finally gave up and retrieved it.))
He looked over to see her staring out the window now, and quickly turned back. "I'm sorry about your sister... This Lucinda sounds like a real bitch. Just make sure you don't go off the handle when we see her."
He pulled into a parking spot now at the pool and set the brake. The diesel churned to a stop and he got out, straightening his tie and jacket. He quickly double-checked the gun holstered on his side, making sure nobody spotted it, and headed around to Diana's side to offer a hand, "Do you know what she looks like?"

*After a few minutes of choking back her tears, Diana was fairly composed once again. She closed her eyes for a moment, resting her head against the door frame of the Hummer’s window, willing herself to be calm but the image of Emily’s sweet face kept flashing before her closed lids. Sighing deeply, she opened her eyes and glared out through the windshield.
Agent Simmons told her he was sorry about her sister. Its what everyone said. Diana knew that they were sorry.. hell everyone was sorry, but no one could bring Em’s back. As he told her not to go too crazy when she saw this Lucinda bitch, Diana shrugged, her hands forming fists resting upon her thighs.
~Hey, I aint making any promises I don’t intend to keep…~
As the car stopped, Diana took an extra deep breath to steady herself. By the time she had calmed herself down and undone her seatbelt, Agent Simmons was standing at her door, offering her a hand down. Accepting his hand without a second thought, Diana stepped down from the Hummer, miscalculating her step and literally fell onto Agent Simmons. Being a strong man, he barely buckled under her light weight, but to stop herself from falling, she threw her free arm around his neck and pulled her body close to hers. In a second, her feet were touching the floor, yet her arm did not automatically detach itself, and her hand still held onto his. Staring up into his eyes, she blushed before pulling away from him, clearing her throat nervously as she took a few steps back.
~Uh… yeah.. thanks for the help down.. you might want to work on your technique next time though.. I nearly broke a leg!~
Looking around, she soon spotted the pool and began to stalk angrily towards it. Without waiting to see if he was keeping up with her, Diana reached the front door of the complex and pulled it open. Inside were two large pools, separated by two diving platforms and surrounded by a large stadium that housed over a thousand seats. A girl with long red hair was standing near Diana, drying her hair with a bright yellow towel. Diana approached her and asked her if she knew where Lucinda was. The girl narrowed her eyes and asked Diana who she was.
~Oh, how rude of me.. forgive me for not introducing myself..~ she smiled brightly. ~I’m Katie Seats, lead reporter for the Sun Times. My editor sent me over here to interview Lucinda to get her views on the upcoming meet next weekend.~
The redhead just nodded and pointed towards the second pool. Diana thanked her and stalked her way over towards the second pool, the smile fading from her lips, glancing backwards only once to make sure Agent Simmons was still with her.
The second pool only had three people practicing in it. As two were male, she guessed that the only female must be Lucinda. Making her way to the end of the pool that Lucinda was currently swimming towards, Diana waited until the girl surfaced before dropping down to a crouch to ask ~Lucinda?~
The dark haired girl nodded and wiped the water out of her eyes as she gazed up at Diana. Diana was all prepared with her whole “Katie Seats” act, when Lucinda seemed to pale visibly and whispered ~Diana??~
Shocked that the girl recognised her, Diana stood up and turned to Agent Simmons. ~I’ve never met her… how does she know me?~ Taking a step back, she glared down at Lucinda.
~This is Agent Simmons… he’s from the FBI. Seems you’ve got some answers to some questions he might have. So why don’t you be a good little girl and get the fuck out of the pool, eh?~
She stood by the pool, her hands clenched into fists as Lucinda swam to the side of the pool and pulled herself up the stairs. With a towel draped around her waist, Lucinda soon was standing before Diana and Agent Simmons. Barely able to refrain from pulling the girls long dark hair out of her head, Diana stood slightly back, keeping Agent Simmons between herself and Lucinda so that she wouldn’t fly at the girl. At least for now. Waiting for the Agent to work his magic, Diana stood quietly as she waited to hear what Lucinda would have to say. *

Some quite unprofessional thoughts crossed his mind when Diana fell into his arms and wrapped herself around him reflexively. Unfortunately, he had a policy against fraternizing with victims...since it usually ended in bad break-ups with a shoe or lamp tossed in his general direction for various reasons. But to say he didn't feel anything when they locked eyes would be like saying Niagra Falls was just a dripping faucet.
Brushing his jacket straight, he cleared his throught and looked away when she scolded him for his 'technique,' lest she see him turn slightly red. Thankfully she was too focused on finding the college girl that she was already stalking away from him.
He quickly caught up with her, and was a bit surprised how smoothly she introduced herself as a reporter. Usually he needed a fake press badge to make that story work, but this girl seemed oblivious to the obvious. He gave the red head a smile and a nod, then followed after Diana.
Sebastian was about to interupt Diana when she started using profanity, but just put his hand up and placed himself between the two as Lucinda came out of the pool.
"Sorry about that, Miss," he began, flashing his badge to Lucinda, "She just tagged along. I'm Special Agent Simmons, I just have a few questions about Emily, someone at the dorm mentioned you knew her." He cast another look back to Diana as if to say 'calm the fuck down already,' before looking back to Lucinda with quizzical look, "Have you two met already?" nodding at Diana
