(( Rping session between Leila and Casey Smith.))
Casey:
*His pace had never quickened but rather he had paced himself as he moved along the streets never moving more than a couple inches than his planned heading towards the housing in the campus area. It was this way until he heard the engine of the car and as the car almost hit him he jumped to the side to avoid getting smashed by the car. Laying on the street face down his eyes closed he finally roused himself from the ground and looked in the direction the car was heading as he found that the occupants were not like these undead monsters but rather survivors. He moved to look towards where they were coming from to see the figures slowly making their way towards them. He raised his weapon only to second guess himself and rest it on his shoulder turning to run towards the car* Hey!! *He made his way to the car as he stopped at the driver's side window. He then stopped and tapped on the window now pointing the muzzle down towards the ground in a show that he wasnt hostile towards them. He then waited for a response..*
Leila:
*Leila watched with wide (slightly glazed over) eyes as the man who was clearly some kind of soldier or policeman stood up and approached her car with a gun in his hand. Shaking all over, she cast a worried glance to Harvey and muttered ~What the hell do I do?~ just as their was a tapping at the window and the man was at her window. The gun was pointed down, away from them, and she hoped that meant that he had no intention to use it on one of them. The fact that he had a gun though made the idea of approaching this man much more appealing, so she wound her window down a crack and peered up at the stranger. Her long blonde hair flowed wildly around her pale face as she chewed on her bottom lip nervously. ~I'm sorry for almost running you over..uh.. officer.. but I was kinda in a rush.. ya know.. given the fact that we have some freaking monster things after us. Do you know what the hell is going on around here?~ She knew that she was babbling but she was neither capable or interested in being quiet any time soon as she stared up at him expectanly for an answer.*
C: *He looked down at her and then knelt a little bit as she spoke and it would have be humorous to him if not for the simple fact of what was going on in the world. He listened intently before he spoke..* Miss.. I am not a police officer. I am Casey Smith and I am a soldier with the urban taskforce of the United States Army. This is a biological problem of high importance to the US. We have to make it out of town. Can any of you handle a gun? *He looked from Leila to Harvey then back to Leila. He had an arsenal on him no doubt and it wasn’t all for him. He didn’t need such overkill for such slow moving targets. But as he could see their numbers and not their speed were their advantage. There was no more risk for infection but there was a risk for death. He just shook his thoughts away. The day was drawing late and they needed a haven to go to escape the night away from these creatures. These people were now top priority to the Government. At least that is what his orders said. He hoped that one soldier and any amount of civilians he could find would be enough to get safely through this city.*
L: * She nodded slightly as she realised he was in the army and a faint smile formed on her lips at the immediate sense of security washed over her in a reassuring wave of safety at the knowledge that a soldier was here to protect them. Shielding her eyes from the sun as she looked at him she arched a brow as he asked if they could handle a gun. ~uh... a gun huh? Well Ive never used one but I kick ass at that shooting game.. I dont know the one.. that ..~she laughed as it dawned on her.~That zombie one... ~*shaking her head, her laugh trailed off as she blushed and looked back at Harvey. She REALY wanted a smoke, and soonish.. but with a soldier now here, she didnt fancy her chances of sneaking off for a quick toke. Glancing back at the soldier who had introduced himself as Casey Smith, she smiled and reached out to unlock her door. Popping it open, she climbed out of her seat, stood up and held out a hand to Casey. ~Im Leila, and this is Harvey. We're students up at the university.. least.. I used to be a student..~ she mumbled something under her breath before continuing. ~So what are those things...seriously?~*
C:*He looked at this.. girl ..well she could be considered a woman but he was in no mood for formalities. He was only here to get through this alive. For everything he had to live for was beyond this predicament. He didn’t smile nor laugh as she spoke of her gaming days. He knew what these college kids were mostly about. Normally he would be a little uneasy in the presence of marijuana but now he actually hoped that these kids had brought some with. Painkillers would be needed at some point and time. He looked at her then and moved back as she got out of the car. He nodded to her shaking her hand. He nodded at Harvey his face staying the same even as she spoke once again with a question.* As I have labeled them.. And you in your mind have also labeled them.. They are zombies.. Dead tissue infected with a virus causing reanimation. As there is no risk for infection anymore we hope only to kill off every single one of them and contain this problem. *He took from his back one of the MP9's and he held it out to her..* A Ruger MP9 and as you are civilians these would be the best for you. Unsilenced and a lower rate of fire they dont pack as much of a punch. But if you shoot those undead bastards in the head they will surely fall. We need to find someplace to fortify ourselves.. I am not advised to move at night but rather do so only during the daytime.
L:*She nodded and glanced over to Harvey. ~Well, Harvey and I are going to Gunworld. Apparently the survivors are meeting up there, however many of us there are. Problem is, I aint too sure exactly where Gunworld is.. ~her blue eyes flickered back and forth between the two men. ~Any ideas guys?~ Taking the offered gun, she glanced down at it, taking special note of the way the gun looked in her hands. She was a hippy by nature, and the thought of violence usually repulsed her and caused her to start an hour long tirade on cruelty and pain, but today.. after what she had just seen, Leila was utterly satisfied by the reassuring weight of the gun in her hands. Glancing back up at the soldier she asked ~ I cant hold a gun and drive at the same time.. you hold on to it for me till we get there?~ Without waiting for an answer, she leant in, pulled her drivers seat forward and gestured for him to hop in the back of the bug.*
C:*He looked to her and didn’t answer at first for he had no idea. He looked at her as she glanced down at the gun staring down at it for a moment. He turned to look to see how the crowd of "zombies" he had seen earlier was advancing and seeing that they were still abit behind he climbed into the bug as she offered taking the MP9 from her. As soon as he was in the back he paced the other MP9 in Harvey's lap. He then sat back and finally spoke..* I don’t know where this Gun World is. I can only advise maybe finding some kind of complex with the smallest amount of people in it and hoping that there is a directory in it to find the address. So unless anyone knows where it is I would suggest we first head to some place as said so that we may fortify ourselves in. *He took the clip out of his M-16 and made sure that nothing look wrong. He pushed the clip back into the AR and loaded a grenade into the launcher. He then looked towards the outside world his ears intent on what they both would say..*
L: She turned the ignition key quickly and grinned maniacly as the bug roared into life. A worried glance in her rearview mirror showed that the zombies were quickly getting closer so Leila steered the bug back onto the road and drove faster towards the heart of the town. She was vaguely sure that Gunworld was somewhere in the commercial district, and it was because of this that she drove in that general direction.
