Hey guys.
So, it appears that this plot has become a Tumbleweed blowing restlessly around the town of Deepdwellers Gulch. This breaks my heart because the plot has such HUGE potential. I realise that I am mainly to blame for stalling, it was just that playing SO many characters at once proved to be too draining when working on a post as it took HOURS for me to type ONE post. Also, real life shit caused other people to stop posting, hence.. the big dust storm.
BUT, Dak (aka The Brilliance) and myself have decided enough is enough. We know what this plot could be, so we have decided to breathe some life back into its dusty and brittle bones.
When we stopped playing, some of us were underground in the mine, unearthing some pretty strange finds, while the rest were in the hotel getting their freak on with some sexy vamps. See why we cant let this rest??
So... there is going to be a earthquake.
For active players:
If you are underground, and want to continue playing, there is going to be a cave in in the mine, due to the earthquake. Survivors will crawl to the surface, and wander around dazed and confused for a while. If you dont want to carry on with the plot, your C can die in the cave in.
The same goes for those of you at the hotel, which is going to collapse due to the earthquake. Those of you wanting to carry on playing can crawl out of the rubble and walk around dazed etc. Unfortunately the vamps all die. While it was fun to play them, I still have Tamassa. Also, I will be introducing my new Character, the manager of the local general store. Her shop is quite large with a house behind it, so she will offer beds for anyone at the hotel who needs a place to sleep.
There will be a town meeting to discuss the effects of the earthquake and the scary ominous feeling that has now settled upon the town (why do you think we had the earthquake folks?? Cause something Truly Evil gets released from the earths crust.. mwuahahaha.. ;D ) This gives
NEW PLAYERS a perfect opportunity to enter the plot as they can create a character that lives in town, and have them rock up to the meeting.
Please remember that so far the characters have only been human and vampire, aliens will be introduced later and possibly demons. It all depends on the big bad that is to be unleashed. Alot of people will die, and some already have, so a new Sherif is also due to arrive soon.
That said.. I hope alot of you come out in force to join up with such a epic plot. BUT.. please read this carefully...
Please, Please, PLEASE DO NOT sign up for this plot if you only plan on posting here and there, and know that you might disappear for a month or more without notice. We are getting very frustrated with people who sign up for plots and then just disappear, leaving the other players hanging. Of course, those of us who have been here for MANY years know that real life hits hard sometimes, and we have all been guilty of little breaks, that is FINE. BUT PLEASE respect the fact that people involved in this story are making a COMMITTMENT to play, post regularly and dedicate time and enthusiasm to making this a kick ass plot. If you dont share this same motivation, then please enjoy reading it, but refrain from joining unless you can meet these requirements. It pains me that I even have to say this, but we have lost WAY too many players because of their frustration due to this factor, that I feel I have to say SOMETHING, ya know?
So, if that hasnt scared you off, and I hope it hasn't.. lets play shall we?
I will have the new thread started by the weekend, feel free to jump in and post whenever you can (no turn taking required unless you are involved in interactions with another C.)
