Felicity noticed a man walking toward the tree, out of the corner of her eye. She looked back to the creature, it didn't seem to be paying a whole lot of attention to the man coming towards them. She looked over to Dirk. She tried to tell the man it wasn't safe without talking.

"Thanks for interrupting our conversation..." Dirk stopped short as he looked over toward a thing on the tree. "What the heck? Nice costume." It looked real, but even if it was a costume, Dirk didn't feel like messing with him. Or it.
And to make things even more fun, there happened to be a cloud of shadows hovering over toward them. Could this day get any wierder? Dirk wasn't sure if he should get out of there with Felicity, or to stay and face whatever it was that was coming toward him.
He decided to at least try to stay alive. Stretching his hand unnoticed over to Felicity's, he grabbed it and spread open his wings to make for it.

Felicity sighed, "this has to be the weirdest day of my life" she thought. Quickly her wings unfurled, getting ready to take flight. She looked back to the odd creature. "Now what" she thought.

OOC: Well, you were the only one really active from my understanding. Also, the clouds aren't hovering above me, but my character looks somewhat incorpreal. The clouds just blotted out the sun when my character came, much like when the wind blows them in that direction.
Now he got a closer look, he managed to make out the scene. Some stranger, a demon from the looks of it, had perched near the girl and another stranger was near by, a male. Not human, nor was the girl. He was about 20 feet away from them, and he asked all of them softly, though the wind seemed to carry his words toward them, "What plane is this place?" His eyes just barely peeked out from his attire, eyes that resembled burning coals.

Felicity was waiting for Dirk to take off, when very faintly she herd the thing walking toward them ask "what is this place?". She smiled slightly and sent him a telepathic message "this is Ayamaye, Shokune. It is a place were hybirds and people live together. And other creatures as well." she sighed, using her powers drains a little of her energy.

For the first time in a long while, he was somewhat surprised. Female spoke to him in his mind? A most interesting talent... Then his attention turned to the male hybrid who looked ready to take flight away from here. I suppose she is a hybrid, as is the other male. Never once did he slow down his careful approach, his movement was more of gliding than walking. "Interesting...." He stopped when he was about ten feet away from the pair and the demon. "And do tell, what is a demon doing on this plane?" This time his attention turned to the beast perched on the tree.

The Demon, Sarushen appeared to not be amused by the hybirds comments. They were cocky, they thought they would be able to run. Evidently these hybirds weren't to observant if they thought they could escape from him. As he took a step forward to the two ready to flee, he noticed shadows congregate and a man make its way toward them. A few of the scarred runes on Sarushen's body began to glow, indicating that the man held some magical connections.
Turning his attention to the male hybird, he spoke. "Do you think you can escape me?" The Demon's voice seemed to be straight from hell itself. None of the people worried Sarushen at all, he was an egotistical demon.

The glow of tatoo intrigued him, but he didn't dwell on it. He was more focused on the whole of the picture. No doubt the demon thought he could rend everyone's flesh here, and he probally could do it. Still, it wasn't wise to be confident. It only took one mistake, one moment, for everything to come crashing down. He knew this well. But still, at this point in his servitude he really didn't care if he lost his life. It wasn't his to lose anymore. "Demons, always the same no matter where you go." Never once did his voice change, it was always the same matter-a-fact tone.

Felicity looked from Dirk to the demon and then to the man walking towards them. Suddenly she took flight. She flew about 10 feet above them, and hovered there watching them.

As soon as the female took flight, his glowing eyes turned to her. Apparantly this girl is asking to be attacked Suddenly, he was gone, though there was still traces of smoke and shadow where he was standing. Then he whispered from behind the girl, his voice still the same cold emotionless whisper, "Taking flight tends to draw attention child. Not something you want now." He was floating right behind, his raggy arms at his side with while more shadowy smoke seeped out of hsi clothing. "So child, think it wise to be the center of attention?"

The demon was surprisingly cocky, his voice reeked with centuries of malice, completly ruining the effect of his "evil." Anyways, Dirk didn't want to stick around any longer. He flipped his wings upward, the tips reaching for the sky, and instead, he dropped purposely so that his head was a little under the branch. The smoky thing flew up to whisper something in Felicity's ear, and Dirk decided to leave the girl be. What did he have to lose if anything happened to her?
He slipped around to the tree trunk and hunched out of sight.

Sarushen watched as the foolish girl tried to flee. She was immediately set upon by the shadowy one, he would leave those two alone. His attention turned to the man who was with her, the man dropped from the tree in a pathetic attempt to escape. Kicking off of the branch, Sarushen would seemingly appear in front of the man, demonic wings outstretched blotting out the sun. "I see chivalry is still alive and well," the Demon would mock. "Do you plan to make this interesting, or would you prefer me to kill you now?" The demon's hands would unclench to reveal the knife like nails protruding from his fingers.

He gave a cold chuckle, even though his face did not move at all. The girl had no fear on her face. A true pity. "Who am I? I am a nightmare plucked from the darkest minds for those who have reason to fear me." He then glided back about two feet, not on wings or air. His right hand extended to the right, and smoke covered it before it came into a long shape, from his hand up to a small 'stick' of smoke that extended to three feet. Then the smoke seemed to disperse, and there in his hand, was a sharp curved sword. "I am the hand of the shadows... I am Shade" Then as quickly as he appeared, he vanished in a puff of smoke. No longer was he infront of the hybrid girl. He was behind the demon, sword drawn high as he slashed at his back before quickly receeding back 20 feet. His eyes were no longer smoldering, they ere glowing. "Come on demon. Lets see if your strength is a match for me." This time, his voice had something that put aside coldness. It was excitement.
