Although the Dragons Den was completely open and void of any barmen who usually served faithfully, the door creaked open allowing the Cloaked Figure to move through the stone walls and down the ancient stairs. He moved passed the bar where Aridawn usually served and made his way deeper into the Den, Aridawn was dead… Talisen could sense it, his soul had left this plane and his body was no more than charred remained, he sighed sadly. He was a good man… daft… but good.
Talisen moved through the dark corridors, he heard a soft noise vibrating against the rock, almost like breathing
"Sleep Mirtedaur"
Talisen said softly, His cloak billowed behind him; it was a very dark green and around his face was the hood that forever covered his eyes. His long straight black hair trailed behind him. The Dragon wouldn’t attack he knew Talisen just as he knew Moridanu; he was a friend of the Den and know enemy. Talisen was looking for something in particular, he stopped at a large old chest, he knelled and tried to open the chest, alas it was stuck. Talisen pulled back his sleeves revealing the blue serpent tattoos that travelled along his arms. He reached into his cloak and pulled out a heavy old Oak wand. He muttered under his breath and tapped the chest with his wand; it erupted in green sparks and slowly opened. Talisen smiled and placed his wand away, immediately green crawling plants began to move sinuously over the chest. Talisen reached in and pulled out a great horn.
Outside the Den Talisen found a patch of land that was barren and covered in patchy thick dark grass. Talisen stood in the clearing and pulled out the old horn, it was pearl white and curved dramatically. Talisen put the horn to his lips and with little effort blue gently against it. A loud and deep chime began to ring across Morthika, the horn was ancient and powerful deep in ancient magic's, it was used during the first battle to save Morthika, all good and just people and creatures would here the horn and head towards the Dragons Den. Talisen turned back towards the Den and made his way into the Tavern itself knowing soon it would be full.

The skys were clear above him as he walked down the unfamiliar trail toward some unknown destination. Aeric figured if he just walked toward where people would be, he could figure out what the hell had happened.
It was supposed to be simple. He was going to enter the temple of the black, find the lotus stone, destroy it with a spell his friend from the Acadamia had provided him with. The problem was, when he fought his way in through the armored creatures, the center held a swirlling void of white light. No stone and the void only grew as he entered the room. With the creatures hard at his back, he was forced to go further into the room.
When he woke on a beach by a body of perfectly clear blue water, the sound of a war horn echoed in his ears.
Aeric was a big elf, tall and well formed with muscle. He still maintianed a sleek and somewhat slender poise of a man who worked his body hard, chiseling it into a perfect specimen of elf. Black hair fell around his olive complexioned face. Clear blue eyes stared out from a raptor gaze.
"What I wouldn't do for a hot meal," He said as he entered the field, staring at the tavern a short distance away. Yet he had no money. In fact, he had only torn black pants, belt and crossguard and his father's longsword across his back. He could still smell the scent of the sea on his body. He was happy he was at least able to keep his father's sword.
The closer he got to the tavern, he could smell the good scents of woodsmoke and food. He hadn't eaten in a day. He couldn't beg, though, nor did he have any money to eat. As he walked up, though, he made a decision: get in, find out where the hell he was, and maybe get someone to send a message to the closest sworn house of his father's.
Aeric stepped up to the door of the tavern, already embarassed at his shirtless, shoeless state, and walked in.

(( OOC: I REALY want to join up with this, but Im confused as to the timeline of it all.. Ive already got Mori in the war, as well as the school and Queen Sand and Moon so its hard to keep track of how and where she is... Im assuming this has happened just after Aridawns death, which means Mori is on her way back to the castle from the temple with Crowe and ODK... so unless she brings them with her to stop in on her way back to the castle.. *shrugs* That COULD work I guess? also, for those people wishing to post that havent read the description of the tavern yet, please do so: morthika.proboards34.com/index.cgi?board=den&action=display&thread=1124367022 ))

((I have no idea when all this happens... but go with what you said, have it after all that which means Sekhmet unfortunatley cant be a part of it as he's in the forest))
Talisen could sense the souls approaching, a lost warrior, many lost warriors without a leader. The Spell of the horn was working, creatures with a soul would be flocking towards the Den, the dragon would let them all in, once inside the labyrinthine that was the den it wouldn't be too hard to find the way down into the Den itself where the Tavern was located, although there was no barman, there was a steaming assortment of fresh bread, mead, wine and fish scattered across the bar and various tables. In the centre of the room stood Talisen, like a statue he stood solitary and unmoving.
In his hands folded neatly were some of the finest garments that could be found in Morthika, a white almost gold chain mail shirt that was incredible light and forged by the Faerie people in the underground cities as well as Leather boots and pants.
"Welcome to Morthika Aeric Aleksander Starfyre, and the goddess be praised that you have landed on our shores"
Talisen was no longer alone however, elves of all shapes, sizes and sexes where filling up the Den, they sat and ate and some stared at Talisen in awe, he sometimes represented the male half of the great goddess and some were so intuitive they could tell. All the elves looked equally as bad off as Aeric, there clothes torn dirty and lost, they were without a leader, there army was no more. Elethaire was missing and Aridawn was dead. The war really was shifting sides. To that of evil.

Once inside the den he took no bother looking around. There was nothing of intrest except to getting to where he could find some people. Quickly he followed the staircase down into a crowded room. The smells of food caught him, stirring his hunger. If only he had coin on him.
The room was filled, with what he saw, as mostly elves. In his mind, he tried to think of places near a coast where elves were the majority race. The frozen northlands, were all that came to mind, but those were barren with ice and snow. He could feel the eyes as he walked in, and suddenly he was very aware of his ragged, vagabound appearance.
It was then though, that he noticed many of the others were just as ragged as he was. "A halfway house maybe..." he mumbled to himself. His blue eyes moved to the figure in the center of the room. He was like a pillar in the midst of elves, over looking them all in a way that Aeric found mostly odd. Was he the caretaker of these people?
And then he the man called his name.
Aeric's eye brows went up in apparent surprise. He stood silently a moment, stunned. Morthika? He had never heard of it. His body tensed and his stomach forgot the hunger, replaced by a nervous aprehension of not knowing where he was. Aeric made an effort to contain his emotion, and swallowed. "How do you know my name..."

"Few things pass this land without my knowledge Aeric, especially in the Arcane and otherworldly department. Your land has been left behind and you now stand in a new Realm, this realm is much like your previous, except there is no peace in our lands…"
Talisen made his way towards the elf; it seemed as if he floated shrouded by his long navy cloak, his eyes forever hidden behind a second hood under the first. Talisen handed the clothes and boots, Talisen lowered his second hood revealing the grey hood that hung snugly around his eyes and hair like a bandanna long tendrils of black silky hair flung out from behind the hood.
"I am Talisen Phoenix, last Arch Battle Mage in Morthika, Headmaster to the Avalon Academy, and you Aeric Starfyre, In Morthika you are the leader of the M.E.A.C, The Morthikan Elven Archers Corp. There was once a grand Elven army in Morthika led by some of the best soldiers our realm has ever known, the last of them is missing. You my friend will lead these archers into battle against the greatest threat Morthika has ever faced…"
Talisen was quite aware that news like this was something few could handle all at once; it was an immense responsibility to ask anyone, especially someone who lands in another realm away from everything they had even known. But Talisen had seen it in the stars, this man was destined to lead and destined to lead in Morthika, time was not a liberty Talisen commanded. Talisen reached into cloak and pulled out what looked like a small yet thick red shinny pole, it looked to be about 50cm long, He held it in one hand while he reached under one of the tables to produce a brilliant red and gold quiver, full of arrows with a green and red tip.
"This is called the Animus Arcus, ancient and powerful, it is your crown, your sceptre and you sword"
Talisen pulled all the arrows out of the quiver and with a sudden rage of fire, his hand erupted into flames, very slowly burning away at the resilient arrows. The quiver was now empty, Talisen handed Aeric the Quiver.
"All you need to do is think it"
He said while he held on the Animus Arcus, he gave it a small shake and suddenly red thick ethereal strings and wood grew from the pole forming a striking Long Bow almost 5ft long. The quiver that Aeric should have been holding also shook silently, and once again the quiver was full of the same arrows Talisen had burnt. He smiled sightlessly as he handed the ancient weapon to Aeric. The Elves standing around him all stood and saluted their captain.
"You will use it well and it will rarely miss, of this I know"
Talisen smiled again placing a heavy hand on Aeric's shoulder. It would be obvious just by holding the ancient weapon its power and age.

*With one arm firmly around his waist, Moridanu led Crowe down the winding sandy path that led out of the temples entrance and down the edge of the cliff. The salt laden sea-scented air was a welcome relief from the oppressive hot air within the ruined temple and Moridanu drew in a long breath of the sweet air to cleanse her lungs as the reached the bottom of the pathway. Although he would never say so, Moridanu knew that Crowe was in deep pain, as was evident by the way he was leaning on her. Even though her own strength was nothing to ignore, she was soon weary from bearing the full brunt of his weight. Almost as though he sensed this, ODK quickly stepped up and supported Crowe from the other side. With Crowe limping slightly between the two of them, the threesome made their way quickly down the pathway.
The journey to the Castle was relatively uneventful, save for the usual lame jokes from ODK that never failed to bring a smile to Moridanus’ lips. Crowe rarely spoke, his silence hanging ominiously overhead while ODK and Moridanu exchanged idle chitchat. It was the sound of a forlorn bird somewhere in the distant that drew her attention just as the neared the Dragons Den. Only.. it wasn’t a bird. It was a horn. One that she could never forget. Pausing midstep, Moridanu turned to look at ODK with wide green eyes.
~Why.. it cant be! Tis the call of battle.. the great horn… and..~ her head turned to the right so that she was now staring at the surrounding forest, her gaze staring straight ahead at where the Den was hidden inside the large mountain to her North. ~tis comin’ from the Den.. we have to see what is wrong.!~
With a heavy heart, Moridanu shifted her arm around Crowes waist once before she steered the two men to the right, leaving the path and pushing her way through the dense undergrowth. Soon, they reached the clearing and Moridanu smiled faintly as her emerald orbs came to rest upon the mossy façade of the door to the Dragons Den. As they approached, the moss withdrew to reveal the large oak door which opened instantly, granting them access. Manouvering Crowe down the steep, winding staircase proved more difficult than she could of imagined, but soon Moridanu was leaning Crowe up against the wall at the bottom landing of the stairs. Straightening her golden jacket, she ran a hand through the tangle of auburn curls upon her head as she turned to smile up at ODK briefly, her hand reaching out in the darkness in search of his. As Crowe pushed against the heavy oak door and made his way into the Tavern, Moridanu followed with ODK in tow.
The tavern seemed brimming with Elves, and Moridanu instinctively looked around for Aridawn. Failing to see him, she scanned the crowd for Elethaire, rationalising that a meeting of this many Elven archers and warriors could never occur without at least one brother in attendance. As her eyes were drawn to Talisen instead, Moridanu’s golden brow creased in concern as she walked over to the mage and tapped him on the shoulder.
~Forgive the interruption old friend, but what t’hell be goin on?~ *

Aeric was stunned into silence as the man gave him the weapon and the clothing. A mage, the man claimed to be. Aeric had grown up with a mage as a mother, but he still didn't trust most of them. In his travels he found few that had been good people, worthy and powerful, yet many were deceitful with an agenda in mind.
The point was, this was too easy. He never knew any group of soliders to suddenly be so acceptive of a mission, or of a leader. He held the clothes and the bow for a moment before taking a step back. Nothing was ever easy, and this was too easy. Just as he was about to drop the clothes and run out of the door, another group of people came in, asking the question that was on his mind.
He swallowed, reminding himself to think. "My question exactly." He said looking from one to the other.

(OOC:If it is alright i will join this, i have set it up so that it explains why he is here, after all your post said anything with a soul would converge on the tavern he has a soul however warped and mutilated. I'm playing this as after Sehkem accepted to be a teacher at the Academy, which he eventually will.)
IC: The call seemed to lead him to nothingness, but somthing pushed him forward. As he approached a moss covered area, the moss receeded to reveal an oaken door. This must be from whence the call sounded.
Sehkem opened the door and pressed further into the Den. The further he went the louder voices became. He still had yet to look if Rafia had decided to follow him or continue his own quest. The sounds of his boots slapping against the ground echoed in the hallway. Suddenly his eyes and ears were assaulted by light and a great commotion.
The room was packed with elves, he looked around to see any familiar faces. He saw Moridanu, the Demon Keeper and Crowe talking to Talisen. It took a moment for the latter to sink in. It must have been Talisen who set off the call, troubling times must be this way or else Talisen wouldn't abandon his academy.
He let his presence go unnoticed for a moment or two listening in on the conversations of the tavern. Even though he was unable to see Talisen's eyes he knew they had found him, there was no doubt in his mind that Talisen knew of his presence. He listened as Moridanu asked what was going on.
Sehkem shook his head causing the chains in his braids to rattle. The noise could easily have gone unnoticed had the room not gone eerily silent just a moment before. Ah, well so much for staying in the backround He leaned against the wall, and waited for Talisen's response.

Helping along a lug like Crowe wasn't as easy a task as it seemed, not even with the help of a pretty dame like Moridanu! ODK had tried his best to make light of the situation, but found most conversation dull and paranoid, though he never showed it. His mind wandered, his mouth running on automatic, though he kept a watchful eye on it just in case. He wondered what could have caused him to have such a tremendous vision earlier... Insanity? Precognition? Psykotelekenisisesiss?
It was in the Den he finally found his mind again, and let his flapping gums take a rest. He knew everyone already saw him as insane, but he cautiously pondered how close to the truth they were. He couldn't even count the number of eons he had been trapped in the same situations over and over again, like some warped version of that bad movie Groundhog Day, starring the ever-lovable Bill Murray.
Elves...so many elves... And, if he heard the hooded guy correctly, the elf standing before him was now the captain of the elves around them? Well, that would explain why they were all saluting the poor guy. Aeric looked like he just washed up on shore! 'course, he had...but ODK didn't know that.
At any rate, now everyone was asking what was going on, so ODK held his tongue. After all, he was sure the mage could only handle so many "huzza-bwa-HUH?"s. That is to say, the burning question had been asked, and now was the time for an answer. ODK was all ears.
Meanwhile, he realized he was also all thirsty, because he was at the bar trying to find something to drink. His mind was getting so distracted with heavy thoughts, he had hardly remembered to feed himself lately! Fortunately, his body was kind enough to remember for him, and had piloted itself behind the bar. He took over the automatic controls and regained all five of his physical senses, leaving the rest on a tether so they didn't pee on anyone's boots like a loose puppy.

Talisen couldn't help loose some patience, it was to be expected the poor Elf had arrived so soon, but there was no time for this, no time for hesitation, he could sense his trepidation, his fear of the unknown around him.
"There is no time for fear, you will led these men and woman this I can be certain of Aeric, it is in your destiny, I have seen it!"
Talisen said his body and presence looming large throughout the room, it was an old trick but a good and useful one, he appeared taller than he actually was, regal and powerful, commanding, a god amongst men. He hardly noticed Moridanu walk into the room with Crowe and the Other Demon Keeper soon followed by Sehkem
"Please help yourself to the good my friends…"
Talisen said crisply, he turned to Mori and put a hand on her shoulder
"The time we've all been fearing is upon us Mori, I've gathered as many as I could and many more will come, we need to be organised if were to defeat Lucien no not Lucien, a new evil will arise, I can see it in the stars and this one will be unlike anything we have ever faced…"
Talisen audibly shivered, he lost a little control of his powers and energies and like sun lighting in the room suddenly everyone would feel the sudden sweep of energy almost like heat, but metallic and coppery. As Talisen talked to Moridanu, Aeric would see another side of Talisen a second ghostly apparition walk from Talisen's own body as he spoke with Moridanu, the second apparition walk over the Aeric
"I don’t know what else I can say to persuade you of who you are, if you don’t lead these people they will die…"
Talisen put a hand on Aeric's forehead, hopefully he would get a vision, the same Vision Talisen received, of a noble elf leading a group of Elven warriors, a long bow in his hand, his arrow pulled tight, it let go and it pierced the heart of a demon, killing it and saving thousands, the vision ended and Talisen was talking to Moridanu as if nothing had ever happened.
Talisen turned back around to everyone; he spoke to Mori but also to her companions.
"We'll need to send a few to the Black Moss Forest, something is going wrong there, we need to stop if we can, does anyone know anything?"
He asked, the elves around him began to eat and cheer there captain as they past him, even though Talisen was talking to Mori and her companions again his voice trailed on the air like a whisper only Aeric could hear.
"What say you Aeric Starfyre?"

Lucky for him, he had two parents of opposite talents. Leif had been a general and a lord, and because of that he had taught Aeric everything he knew about military leadership and survival against the physical realm. Quyndallya had been a battle mage and had shown him defense against the arcane, as well as how to manipulate some of the mystics himself. One set of those teachings was telling him that this was too easy, yet the other was telling him to dig deeper.
When Talisen came close to place his hand on Aeric's forehead, the Elf was very unnaccepting of the whatever magic he thought was about to be cast upon him. He took a step back saying nothing, looking at the men around him, so mysteriously accepting of a stranger as a leader for them into what was probably a deadly situation.
Aeric, was still holding the items Talisen had given him. He looked back at the group who had walked in whom the overtly large mage was talking to. "Nothing is ever easy," he said quietly, looking at whatever was speaking to him now. "I know magic, and I can forsee this as some enchantment you are attempting to cast upon me, appealing to some far notion of grandeur that I may possess. The truth is, nothing is ever this easy. I've led men into battle, and I know that no group is this accepting of some stranger as thier leader into a situation that could prove to be deadly."
Aeric observed the door. It was close. If he dropped the so called gifts he was carrying, drew his sword, and backed through it, he may bound through just in time to cause the mage to possibly miss whatever spell he may throw at him. Aeric knew even a couple of simple spells that were in his ability to cast to assist in his escape. If he had to fight though... he was sorely outnumbered, but this wouldn't have been the first time that had happened. He thought back to the black temple where the Lotus stone was supposed to have been and those large armored...things... had defended. Time to force thier hand.
"What say I, you ask? I say you're false." Aeric's tounge slid out, wetting his lower lip, ready to drop the things, draw his sword and fight.
"What say you, mage."

Sehkem merely nodded when Talisen referenced the group. After the brief recognition by Talisen, Sehkem let himself sink back into the backround. That is untill the elf, who was supposed to be a commander, insulted Talisen. For some reason Sehkem felt loyal to this man he had met not too long ago. An insult to Talisen, was an insult to him.
"If you think him a fake then you are no more than an insolent fool. If you wish to seccumb to cowardice and leave, then do so." Sehkem showed no emotion, gave nor gave any audibal clues as to his annoyance. Although his hands began to powerfully radiate good and evil magic respectively. He noticed the elf glance toward the door, so Sehkem leaned the other way his back resting on the door jam.
Sehkem broke his glare at the Elf and spoke to Talisen. "The Black Moss Forest...yes I just came from there. Aridawn's corpse lay there, and somthing more....I came across a man who seemed very eager to risk his life for a weapon he claimed to belong to his brother. That is all I know."
Sehkem hoped the information would help Talisen, he knew there was somthing more to the weapon the man was searching for. Maybe I should have just stayed with the man and tried to take it before he was able to....but if it was honestly a mere weapon... There was no point in reflecting what was done is done, Talisen would be able to provide more information on the matter.

*Moridanu’s cool emerald gaze travelled around the group that Talisen had assembled in the Den’s Tavern. Elves mostly, though this was hardly suprising. The Elves were the only race that lived in these part of the woods in any form of abundance so it was a natural conclusion that they would be the first to answer Talisen’s call. Why none of them had rushed to her aid when she had sent the Crow flare into the sky earlier was a valid question, but given the situation, she felt it inappropriate to ask. She was shaken from her thoughts by the feeling of Talisens hand on her shoulder.
The time we've all been fearing is upon us Mori, I've gathered as many as I could and many more will come, we need to be organised if we’re to defeat Lucien.. no not Lucien, a new evil will arise, I can see it in the stars and this one will be unlike anything we have ever faced…"
She sighed deeply and nodded as a hand reached up to absentmindedly brush away a long auburn ringlet that had fallen into her eyes. Instantly her thoughts clouded with possible ideas and suggestions as to what this new evil might be. But although a million thoughts raced across her troubled mind, one name kept coming back to her: Elyza. No! she thought with a shake of her curly head, its impossible. Even if Elyza was up to her old tricks, there was no way she could compare to the threat posed by Lucien… it had to be something else. But still, she kept thinking the name Elyza whenever she asked herself what was going on. Still, she kept her thoughts to herself, making the mental note to talk to Talisen about her thoughts in private.
She blinked as he spoke of evil in the Black Moss Forest, and asked if anyone knew anything.
~No, m’friend.. we are just returning to the castle from the destroyed temple of Morrighan.. we have not been through the Black Moss Forest.. ~ it was then, that she noticed Sekhem had joined them, and she turned to look at him expecatantly as he spoke up.
After he had words with an elf that Moridanu had never seen before, Sekhem then said some words that caused Moridanu to gasp out loud in shock and grief.
"The Black Moss Forest...yes I just came from there. Aridawn's corpse lay there, and something more....I came across a man who seemed very eager to risk his life for a weapon he claimed to belong to his brother. That is all I know."
Moridanu took a deep breath to steady herself before she approached Sekhem and put both hands on his shoulders. ~ What on earth ye be talking ‘bout? Aridawns’ CORPSE??~ She turned her wide, sad green eyes to Talisen and asked quietly.
~He realy is dead then?~ Hanging her head for a few moments, Moridanu dabbed at her eyes before she turned away from the group. Walking over to what was perhaps the only secluded corner left of the tavern, Moridanu stood with her back to the group and sobbed. She needed ODK's support but he was somewhere in the vacinity of the bar, while Crowe was still half unconcious nursing a brew at a table near the door. At this moment she cared nothing for this new evil, or the potential threat to Morthika and her kin. All she knew was that Aridawn was dead. She had failed, both Aridawn and his brother Elethaire…… at the thought of Elethaire, her emerald orbs snapped open and she turned around to look for Talisen, tears streaming down her face.
~Where is Elethaire? Surely he would be here.. if he could. Sekhem.. you say you found Aridawns corpse, and a strange man? Could THAT have been Elethaire? Was it an Elf? ~ *

Talisen hadn't expected Aeric to react the way he did, but it was understandable he was ashamed to say, how else would someone react being torn out of there world and put in another… The First rule of being a Battle Mage was ruthfulness, Morthika needed a commander and Aeric was the obvious choice, even if he was of another world, if he had to drag and twice Aeric out of and between six world to bring him to Morthika he would, the consequences would have to wait.
"IT wasn't easy… none of this was easy, it took me several months to simply know you existed, the visions came thick and fast, of blood and death… there was only one thing I could do and that was to make sure when you arrived in this land you would lead these people"
Talisen turned to look directly at Aeric once again, he put a hand up to steady Sehkem and Moridanu for a minute, first things first
"I fear I have no explained myself as I should have…one hundred years ago, Morthika had a grand Elven Army, there was a war and many were lost, several years ago a fire broke out in the Elven woods killing even more Elves and all of the lords and ladies that had led the Elven Armies during the first war. All that were left are right in front of you, they were led by Elethaire the commander, he has gone missing I fear he is dead. His brother the second in command is well and truly dead, I have been telling them for many months that there leader will arrive in the name of a Starfyre when the horn blows, the same horn you were drawn too…"
Talisen cleared his throat and took a step closer towards Aeric
"They are strong and powerful men and woman but none of them are leaders, none of them are you"
He prayed to the goddess he would understand, if not Talisen had no clue what he would do; he hadn't envisioned the need for a plan B.
"Aeric my friend… your knowledge and heritage is grand, but if I wanted to put a spell on you, it would already be cast..."
He said with no sign of emotion, the ends of his thin lips twitched ever so slightly
"If there was a high lord of air in this realm… I would be it"
he added, it was something Aeric alone would understand, and it would hopefully shine a light on Talisens role in Morthika. He thinks me a fool and an old sorcerer Talisen thought to himself, he prayed once again to the goddess that she grant him some form of sight so he may see what Talisen was trying to do, he turned back to Moridanu and Sehkem
"It's true Moridanu; our friend has left this world behind… Elethaire is a different story however, I can't feel him anymore, he may very well be dead… but then again -"
His voice trailed off and be went into a small trance trying to sense Elethaire Aura, but all he felt was dead poison, it left a bitter taste in his mouth
"If he is alive, he's in grave danger, but we can't do anything about it now, the Forest… no it wasn't Elethaire in the forest but another… he's clouded to me, I can't feel anything, perhaps the Black Moss is too far. Moridanu will you travel to the forest?"
It wasn't a command but more of a question; he could sense Moridanu's feeling, sometimes before she even knew what they were. The Situation was not good, the commander didn't believe in there course, Aridawn and Elethaire are dead and the evil was growing ever more.
