In the time before Morthika (BM) I, and some friends of mine, created Morthika when we realised that we were growing jaded and disillusioned by the quality of Roleplaying that was currently on offer at various sites. OOC babbling, political fights, name calling and just general crap began to take away the focus from the actual creativity of Role playing, so this place was created as a Haven from it all.
Due to the circumstances that surrounded the creation of Morthika, we must insist on certain rules to ensure that this place stays the Haven that it is. While OOC relations and forming friendships in what is growing to be an amazing community is whole heartedly encouraged, we must remind you that the focus of this site is to Roleplay IN CHARACTER. This means that you are here to share your creativity with other like minded souls and participate in plots and character development. If you do not want to Roleplay, then you are not suited for Morthika, as this is a roleplaying site. That said, if it is your intention to sit here and read the creative brilliance happening while enjoying losing yourself in the storylines, but choosing not to participate, that is fine. You are more than welcome and we hope you enjoy what you read. HOWEVER, if it is your intention not to participate IN CHARACTER, but offer OUT OF CHARACTER criticisms or insults, then your presence will not be welcome at Morthika and you shall be asked to leave. Even if you are an avid player at Morthika, and think that you have to right to sprout off with a bunch of OOC insults, you are mistaken.
Morthika is a haven for free form Roleplaying. As it stands, there are not many rules here apart from the general roleplaying rules which will be addressed in the section titled THE RULES.. (( We Morthikans are known for our witty and brilliantly titled threads here..
))There is ONE Rule however that is essential to all Morthikans. To become a resident here, you must understand and abide this rule at all times.
Morthika is a negativity free Zone. No Negativity of any kind will be tolerated and will be removed immediately.
To clear up any confusion, the definition of Negativity in Morthika is regarded as:
Negativity is any form of negative energy directed at someone else or at Morthika in general. Insults, name calling, harsh criticisms etc, are not accepted at Morthika.
If something causes you to become upset or concerned, you are asked to please handle the matter in private, via our private message system. If this proves impossible for what ever reason, you are then asked to contact an Admin who will do their best to help. Under NO circumstances is this matter to pollute the message board as it is for Rping and related OOC only.
If for some reason, someone DOES post something that is deemed negative on the boards, the post may be deleted at the discretion of the admin, though in most cases the person responsible is asked to edit their post. If after repeated attempts by the admin to modify or delete this post, only to have the negativity remain, the admin may ask for the person responsible to leave Morthika if they believe the person is a negative influence on Morthika and the people that play here. In severe cases, permanent bans may occur.
While this may seem harsh, the above rules have been put into place out of an unfortunate necessity, so we ask that if you choose to become a resident here, you respect this one request and keep all negative vibes out of our happy home.
(By proceding with your exploration through Morthika and your interest in becoming a resident here, you are agreeing to the Negativity Clause and will strive to spend your time here accordingly. ;D )
