Majin Gokan:
*A quiet night settled over Mori's castle, and footsteps soon aroused the guards suspicion that guarded the outer most gate. A cloaked figure moved along, in the deception of an elderly or somehow disabled man shuffling forth. Even the voice, through some twisted trickery managed to sound in the wails of some aged, poor beggar who slowly turned his crooked head up towards the guards. As one waved him off in some rude obscene way, the other chuckled.*
"Go away old man, you aren't suppose to be here, now best be off."
*It did though strike then that this castle was not suppose to have "Normal" visitors. As this settled in, a serious look came over them and the eldest of the two guard peeped in a reply.*
"Who are you..and whats your business..state it now!"
*The sound of steel being drawn forth from a scabbard soon echoed into the night, and glimmering orbs of fire seemed to burn in the shadowed veil of the Cloaks hood. The men looked wide eyed, and as the hood fell back, the clean shaven face of Gokan was revealed. Within the blink of an eye however the left guard saw to his horror one of Gokans arms protrude right through his companions gut. Blood soaked and dribbled down off his fingers-which wiggled slightly before the arm was yanked back.*
*As he wailed and turned to flee, Gokans form easily flashed before him, drifting a tiny bit from the dirt ground. As he blinked suddenly, he felt the surge of pain in his stomach as a massive blow done by a swift kick fractured 5 ribs all at once. Doubling over suddenly, he coughed a splat of blood out before a round of kicks echoed in similar fashions over his form-until one last round house kick sent him flaying away. As he hit the ground with sickening force, it was -clear- by the mere impact he was dead. Removing the cloak now, he moved along past the gate, Drifting into the air and peering through the windows. It was easily located, and he hovered and crouched in the window as an elderly woman-the one Elyza spoke on, hummed about the kitchen doing her duties. A slow grin spread across his face.*
*A sudden explosion rocked the castle, as the entire kitchen section was completely obliterated in a massive fireball that coiled high into the night sky. Gokans form floated now high in the air, one glimmering hand pointed down towards the castle below. Suddenly a spread of small glowering balls was shot forth from his hand-though they lingered before him until they dotted the sky like stars. As the old woman screamed in pitiful agony-her arm having been twisted like nothing, the bone shattered like a old withered stick beneath his grip. Peering to the woman, a sneer stretched across his lips, the insidious voice almost not his own.*
"Look now upon this wretched place, and let your tears remember this ground as it lay in ashes."
*After those words, the hand pressed forward, and the orbs flung themselves like comets streaking across the heavens to Mori's castles. As each one impacted, it struck with the force of a megaton or so of conventional explosions, ripping walls and towers into burning rubble. Though the Front central part however rippled, the magical barrier shielding from the strike-though as it held up, it most likely would not be spared the massive earthquake that ripped the land, and fires bounces and orbs smashed into the forest- More being fired with deadly abandon everywhere, as through the protected castle section swam in a sea of fire, coiled with death and destruction.*
*And as if it was not enough, A new glass orb was now produced and tossed before him. It Hovers, swirling around as Gokan produced a wicked and curved blade- a most grave insult to these people, to carelessly kill this woman slowly when he had the power to end it quick. Before this orb, it recorded in perfect detail Gokan holding, and carving the womans body. And as flesh fell from the bone- by his will alone it seemed, she still would not die. Finally, as her blood spilled to the ground below, he held her by the skull before the orb and his gloved hand slowly crushed down. A sickening crunch could be heard, before gokan, no bathed in the beloved womans blood, sneered most wickedly towards it.*
"Mori. You and all your cohorts are next. Enjoy my dear Elyza's present. Best Regards, from your's truly, Gokan."
*With that, the orb simply zipped off into the sky, to meet the woman herself, and give her the visually recorded message. As gokans mission complete, he turned and flew up a little higher-though stopping as both hands curled together. A sudden surge of energy was visible around him, and he fired down-screaming into the night, a massive electrical like energy blast that killed all sound- only the roar- a horrible sound, like something a Tsunami would create, growing ever louder. And as it hit the magical barrier-it stood up most definitely, though the entire -valley roared to life, churned, and sunk, leaving only the protected castle, admist a massive barren sunken hole in the ground, still ablaze. Spitting down at the destruction at hand, gokans flexed his hands.*
"Pathetic cowards."*As a fiery aura washed over him, he took off like a comet through the sky, arcing towards the cold desolate mountains in the distance.*
Lady Savannah:
..... And so.. Savannah and Dreadlord had taken to the gardens outside this day and that is where they remained for the day.... Wrapped in each other's arms and loving each other.. until.........
Dreadlord: *The ground shook beneath his knees and shook throughout his body, making him stay still upon his knees and turn his head to the side looking at the dark forest and sky out of the corner of his eye and then he saw a flash of light that lit the sky with a brilliant white light. He quickly looked back to Savannah and in the pit of his stomach he had the feeling that something bad was going on. He stared at her and all that ran through his mind was of him running toward the castle and having her stay behind running in the opposite direction so she wouldn't get hurt. He wanted to protect her and knew she wouldn't leave his side. But he didn't move to get up, he only watched her to see what her reaction would be.*
Lady Savannah: *Everything stopped at once.. When Dread stopped.. so did Savannah. Her sapphire eyes opening to look up at him, her breath catching softly * What was that? *She saw where he was looking and she slowly turned her head to see exactly the same thing.. a flash of brilliant light in the distance and she too, felt a cold feeling suddenly overtake her. She tensed and whispered * By the Gods.. what is happening??
Dreadlord: I should go check it out. * He slowly slid away from her, even though he didn't want to stop, he knew he had to and focus on what had just happened and get serious for her felt that something bad was going to happen. He pulled up his pants and carefully zipped them reaching for his shirt and putting it on as he stood to his feet looking down at her and a sigh escaped his lips as he watched her.* There nothing I can say that would convince you not to come, is there? *He was joking of course, but still he didn't want anything to happen to her........His jaw dropped as he stared at part of the castle come crashing down to the ground. The ground shook and it almost made him fall, but he kept his balance. He brought an arm around her and took a look around seeing that there was nothing left. Then, his eyes narrowed as he stared out at the fire and he gritted his teeth as he growled.* I'll kill whoever was responsible for this. * He slolwy started to walk in the direction of the castle to see what was left of it.*
Lady Savannah: *She heard him, and watched part of the castle come crashing down.. the very tower she had been staying in . She knew her things would diminish and transport back to her own place in SilverLake Manor yet she let out a soft cry of disappointment. She heard his growl and then his words as he started walking towards the Castle. * Dread.. you can't mean that you'll....
Dreadlord: *he sharply turned to look at her. That I'll what? *His eyes were ferocious as well as the look upon his face. He felt the anger build inside of him and his eyes grew black as a red glow dully formed around his hands. *
Lady Savannah: *She looked at him, seeing his fury, she almost didn't say anything more.. but she was not about to lose him again..* You can't mean that you will go after who did this? What if you get killed?
Dreadlord: *He could feel whatever was kept inside of him try to get out but he then calmed down and the glowing around his hands dissolved and he stared at her, his eyes still completely black but he started to calm down a bit.* They're not going to get away with what they have done. *He then quickly turned to the castle and then looked back to her* Was there anyone in the castle when we left?
Lady Savannah: Only the servants *she whispered, her eyes still upon him, seeing his fury diminish just a slight bit..and the red glow of his anger and power surrounding him. She knew he would never hurt her.. not after what they have been sharing. She loved him and he loved her.. but yet she felt a faint Foreboding.. And she thought.. " oh please... make that feeling go away.. Please.. " She wanted to be with him every day.. day in.. and day out. *
Dreadlord: *He closed his eyes and slowly shook his head. Once he opened his eyes, they were back to the way they were before and he looked at her with a down look upon his face. A frown and sad eyes, regretting that he couldn't help save the castle. But he felt that someone with great power was behind this. He could feel the dark magick around them and it felt familiar to him, possibly because he held the same power within himself. He looked to her and slowly walked to her.* This is the beginning of what is yet to come, isn't it?
Lady Savannah: *She glanced away and looked at the Castle before she looked back at him.. Shaking her head only slightly * Nay....tis only what will be should this be allowed to continue..the destruction by something evil.. we shall never know life as we knew it should he or she or they be allowed to continue. *She stepped up along side him and slipped her hand into his, So glad to see him here with her.. she had thought the worst ..*
Dreadlord: *He looked to her and slowly began to walk toward the castle, turning to her and stopping as he watched her.* I'm going to go see how the castle is and see if anyone survived. I think that maybe you should stay here, just in case whoever did this is still there. *He held a soft gaze upon her as he stood along the path, half way turned around.*
Lady Savannah: Nay! *she shook her head swiftly, her eyes wild with fear, fear of being alone.. fear of letting him go by himself.* Let me come with ye... * She twisted her hands together, wishing there was some form of magick to make this all go away.. but the only thing she could do was transport them somewhere else.. but that would be like running away.. and she couldn't do that.. although the thought was fetching.. * ... Dread...
Dreadlord: *He let out a long sigh as his shoulders slumped down closing his eyes and turning back toward the castle , slowly opening his eyes as he looked at the dark sky where the tower of the castle used to stand. He turned back to her fully and looked at her face.* Alright. But, here...*He took the dagger where it was holstered at his waist and reached the end wth the handle out to her.* Take this. Just in case.
Lady Savannah: * Her eyes darted down to the dagger and then up to his face * But... what will you use? You canna go with nothing.. *yet she reached for the dagger.. just in case.. Gods.. what if he needed it.. she couldn't live if anything happened to him..*
Dreadlord: I will survive. But, it's you that I am more concerned about. I don't want anything to happen to you. *He let the dagger slip from his hands, running his fingers along the slat part of the dagger until it was no longer in his grasp.*
Lady Savannah: *She took the dagger into her own delicate hands, feeling the heaviness of it and the warmth from where it had been against his skin, She nodded and sheathed it within her skirts, using her magick to hold it there. She then looked up at him and whispered a few words as she reached out and touched his arm gently, thus whispering a spell of protection for him * Always believe in me, my Dreadlord... * and she grew quiet and waited to move on with him. Not knowing she was just as he.. covered with soot and dirt and grime from the forest and fire *
Dreadlord: *He slowly turned and looked back in the direction of the castle.* Ok, lets go. *He coughed once more and spit out a black liquid, though as disgusting as it was, it tasted horrible in his mouth. He wiped his arm across his lips removing the spit that dribbled from the side of his mouth. He slolwy looked back to Savannah giving her a reassuring smile that he was fine and spoke softly* You ready?
Lady Savannah: *She frowned as he coughed and spit. Her eyes taking in the color of the substance. She lay her hand upon his back * I am ready.. but are you alright? *she delved into his essence, though he would not be affected by this, to find that he would be ok.. just had soot in his lungs that he would have to cough out. yet still she was and would remain concerned about him.. She loved him,. * Aye.. I am ready.. * though her body trembled with what they would find*
Dreadlord: *He slowly nodded his head and looked to her, softly speaking* Yeah, I'm fine. Just clearing my throat. *His voice sounding as though he had something in his throat making his voice sound raspy, different from how he usually sounds. He turned his head and brought his hand to his mouth as he coughed again to remove the soot that lingered in his throat. He ran a hand over his throat and looked back to her. * Ok, I'm good. Let's go. Stay by me.
Lady Savannah: *She looked up at him, watching him, and having strong feelings for him, just as they stood there.. His voice.. all raspy.. sounded the same as when they made love. She felt a tingling go through her and she gave herself a mental shake.. Stop it Savannah ! Nodding, she started walking with him * Alright..
Dreadlord: *He slowly stared down the path in the direction of the castle, seeing as some flames rose from behind trees and bushes that hadn't caught fire ahead of them. His hands balled into fist, readying himself for anything that should happen. It was quiet, a little too quiet. He kept his ears open and listened carefully if he should hear anything such as foot steps or cries for help, but he heard none. He whispered back to Savannah.* Stay alert with the dagger close to you at all times.
Lady Savannah: *she nodded, and of course she would stay close to him,, Was he crazy? she wouldn't leave his side for anything.. Wild dogs couldn't drag her away.. besides, she would just turn them all into whimpering little mice. * Aye.. *she fingered the dagger within her skirts, touching upon the handle which was still warm from his touch *
Dreadlord: *They finally had reached the courtyards of the castle, or what used to be the courtyards. He stopped and looked at the half demolished castle as it lay burning in flames. He slolwy closed his eyes and lowered his head> After a moment or so he lifted his head and looked to Savannah.* There's nothing left except burning walls. I was hoping that there would have been something left, someone who survived, but there's nothing. No one.
Lady Savannah: *She stopped right behind him, peering out around him and then looked up at him as he stood with his head lowered, his eyes closed, and for a fleeting moment, she thought how beautiful he was even in his sorrow. She sighed and he opened his eyes and looked at her. * Aye.. *she held his gaze and then turned and looked at the burning walls of the Castle, taking notice right away that the tower she had stayed in, no longer existed.. there was nothing there. No flames..no blackness.. just .. green and color.. as if the blast had not touched that space, yet there was nothing there. She felt tears well up in her eyes as she thought about the woman of the kitchen.. and Francarol.. surely he would have found some way of surviving.. everything she has worked on with him in that downstairs room.. She sighed and shook her head, wiping away her tears with her free hand * Tis a shame.. tis awful..
Dreadlord: *He took a quick glance around the area and saw no one. He listened to her words and took a few steps forward, kneeling down, bringing a hand down to the dead flowers that had withered away from the destruction that happened all around them. One flower kept it's shape and yet was all ash. He took it in his hand and immediately it blew away in the wind. He brought his hands up to his face, covering it as he closed his eyes, kneeling upon the ground. He couldn't help but feel responsible for all this happening. He ran from this place because he felt that something bad was going to happen and didn't happen to try and warn those that were still in the castle. He hated this feeling of guilt inside of him even though he hadn't cause any of this.*
Lady Savannah: *she watched him as he took the flower in his hand, and a feeling of tenderness within her. She glanced around yet again and felt what he felt. Not knowing how she felt it.. perhaps it was the bond that had strengthened between them.. something neither of them knew.. and perhaps they wouldn't be aware of it for some time yet. She sighed softly and started walking over to where he was, anxious for some reason to touch him, as if it would be the last time she would. She felt a fluttering in her chest and her breath caught.. * ... Jason.... * she called so softly to him *
Dreadlord: *he lowered his hands and turned his head to look t her then stood his feet, standing up straight as he turned completely to look at her. A questioning look upon his face as he softly spoke.* Yes, Savannah?
Lady Savannah: *She didn't say anything more but was headed to him, Her sapphire eyes intense as she neared him* Jason .. I ...*She reached up to touch his face. *
Dreadlord: *He kept the same expression upon his face as she walked toward him. His expression was a bit stern, but it softened as she came closer to him. Her warm touch upon his face, leaning his head toward her hand. A smile starting to form upon his lips.* You...* Then he was interrupted as the ground shook so slightly, but it still could be felt beneath there feet making him become silent. A dull roar was then heard from behind him. He looked to Savannah and slowly turned his head looking at the castle as the dull roar continued from within the remains of the castle. He looked back to Savannah with wide eyes.* That doesn't sound good.
Lady Savannah: *She would forever wonder what he was going to say, and she meant to ask him just as soon as she could, but for now.. something was happening and no, indeed, it was not good... She shook her head, her own sapphire eyes growing wide and her hand coming slowly down from his face, sliding from it so that her fingertips were the very last to touch his skin. She felt the ground beneath her shake and, she grasped on to or tried to grasp his arm..*
Dreadlord: *He quickly turned and faced the castle as the roar grew and the ground shook greater, making his entire body shake. He watched as the walls began to crumble sending burning pieces of stone to fall to the ground. The ground was starting to crack and separate beneath his feet. He turned quickly and took Savannah by the arm and yelled to her over the roar.* Run!!
Lady Savannah: *She did as she was told and did run.. her auburn hair flailing out behind her. She ran and ran, feeling the roar of the blast coming up behind her and with a gust of hot air, she was lifted before she could know what was going on. Lifted high into the air and thrown how many feet.. she did not know.. she knew nothing for a long while.. for when she landed with a thud, it was against something solid and she glanced around to find the earth was coming at her sideways but she could not see Jason.. She cried out for him, a frail call before everything when black. All around her the blast roared and things flew wildly through the air, trees were uprooted and huge foundation stones came blasting through the air as well., landing all around her yet none landed upon her.. though she was covered with debris, perhaps it was a good thing she was unconscious.. not dead.. but unconscious...her last thought before the darkness took her was of him *
Dreadlord: *He couldn't remember how it had happened or even when, but he lifted from the air and thrown in the direction of the burning forest. He had fallen to the ground with a great amount of force causing him to roll upon the ground and stop as he rolled into a tree. He could barely see anything except for the flaming trees being uprooted and thrown over him. And before he knew it he was airborn again, but not going far. He had taken hold of a mighty root that protruded from the ground of a massive tree. He held on for dear life and didn't let go until the roar faded and he was able to look more clearly at the surroundings. Now, instead of trees standing up as the burned, they had all now fallen to the ground in pieces burning. He was exhausted and could barely move. He felt blood trickling down his face but couldn't move his hand to wipe it away. He barely got to his feet and once he managed to he fell back down almost immediately and lay on his chest upon the ground panting. He looked around and didn't see Savannah and yelled out, but heard no reply. He looked around and was lucky that he was in no danger from the fire around him and slowly closed his eyes trying to regain his strength.*
Lady Savannah: *It was a time before her eyes opened and she lifted her head, which now ached and throbbed when she lifted it. She glanced around and tried to remember where she was.. what she was doing. Pushing herself to her knees, she grabbed her head and then took her hands away to feel the sticky warmth of the blood that came dripping down her face. She too, felt her sides for her body ached as well and when she got to her feet, she promptly fell back to the ground, gasping for air and looking up at the sky.. * By the Gods...
Dreadlord: *When he woke he could feel that it hadn't been long since the night sky was still up, but in the distance he would see the dark blue color of the morning sky forcing its way through at the horizon. He could only see well out of his right eye as his left one demanded to stay closed as it began to swell. He looked to his arms as he pushed himself up seeing bloody scratches and fresh long round bruises. His shirt was torn and his pants were dirty with some blood seeping through the fabric. He slumped over as he stood to his feet, stumbling forward then finally taking a deep breath as he forced himself to stand straight hearing practically every bone in his body crack back into place. Thankful that there was a little more light, he looked around, trying his best to locate Savannah, hoping that she wasn't buried under all this rubble. He yelled her name again and again as he moved along the broken pieces of tree.*
Lady Savannah: *She couldn't breathe..And she started to panic, gasping for air as she lay there. Her hands covered in her own blood, she looked to the sky, seeing the sun was rising and she started to shiver. Her gown was soaked with blood and she was nauseated.. she lifted to her knees once more and promptly let go of anything that was in her stomach. What was she to do? She felt as if she should be looking for someone, felt as if her world had j ust been torn apart.. but.... who? She closed her eyes against the pain and grimaced.. suddenly seeing a dark haired man.. a beautiful Adonis of a man in her mind's eye.. who was he? Someone of her family? Her brother? her lover? her husband? She could not remember.. and this time she did get to her feet.. wiping her face with a piece of her gown not soaked with blood. She looked down to find a piece of wood, hugely splintered and stuck in her chest.. *
