I got the post up. I hope that no one is too upset with any bit of autoing I might have done, but I wanted to get the plot moving. If anyone wants me to change it PM me with the sentence that is there and what you want me to change it to.

Yea, ok. I'm voicing my opinion on the last post.
All the autoing, like... completely skipping the part when you went to bed, and then you happen to be the only one that wakes up to the scream, and then everything is ok until morning when everyone then gets an explanation....
Like since Josh and all the other guards are on duty, wouldn't they have seen what happened? Could have prevented it in some way? A warning atleast?
I dont know, just really didnt see how your post was logically or fit.

Domar, autoing is rarley a good idea, especially without anyones consent, you really need to nag people if their not posting, Autoing should only be the Final Straw! and even then, should not be heavy at all, just minor movments.

Alright, I talked to him today and what he said was: His character was the first to wake due to the screaming, seeing as it was directed at him. everything but the letter could have been seen by anyone, the letter was bound for him. I hope that clears some things up, correct me if I was wrong on anything though Domar.
Personally i dont see it as that big of an auto, all he did was assume the other characters would still be asleep seeing as most of the events were directed for him.

Nobodies going to want to post when theirs no action directed at them so Domar needs to be aware of that, this is by no means an attack or anything, I'm just trying to help.
If Jax believes it's a big auto than that's the problem. Fair enough if Domar didn't intent it to be a big auto but when people involved perceive it as a big auto then it kinda is. If you know what I mean.

Yea, I DO consider it a big auto. First, my character is at the top of the stairs, waiting for her husband to come to bed, next thing I know, its morning and there are body parts all over the place.....
And when a person posts..... and expects SOMEONE to respond to their character, and it DOESNT happen..... doesnt really motivate them to post again, like Talisen said.

Alright. Let me clear everything up. If people check out the earlier posts Rolloth did go to bed, though he was one of the last. Also the only night gaurd we have is Ninjz and he went to be at eight, and I forgaot to add the the scream occured around nine. I never once said that Rolloth was the only one to wake up and I also never said that everything was alright until the meeting, (Jacki said, "and then everything is ok until morning when everyone then gets an explanation..."). I was hoping that people would post what they did, or were thinking during the time between the scream and the meeting. Another thing is that when I started the plot I asked for those willing to problem solve. In my first post some information in there is that a Gnome had been exploring the caves and hadn't returned yet. Last post I made mention of SMALL body parts. Anyone see a connection?  . So in case I get questioned again I will say that the Gnome was dead before the evil creatures even entered the Inn through the cellar. It would also take mabey a mintue at most for several creatures to paint a few words and a few symbols, on the wall in blood. Yes the letter on flesh was directed at Rolloth and was only seen by Rolloth for purposes of plot development. Everything else though is free game for anyone to respond to. In my post I guess I should have put down "scream/yell of surprise or terror" for the sound that came from down the steps because one of the first people that would have come down the steps would logically have been a staff member. That "yell/noise thing" and my assumption that if the employer called a staff meeting after such an event everyone would come. That is all I did for autoing and I didn't think that such a thing would have been a big deal. If this still doesn't make things clearer or you just plain old don't agree with what I did then just let me know, like you did about my last post, and I'll get on the issue right away. Sorry for causing the problems I did.  |

well, the big thing I have with it, aside from the fact that a whole'intricate designs on the wall' thing would take hours-when I was awake- is that it was my assumption that the inn would be up and running by sunrise(approx. 6:00 AM), at least for the cook and early risers, so my char went to bed at 8:00 AM. but if this started at 9:00 AM the whole Inn would be up, and people would be in the common room drinking ale and ect. so even if Rolloth didn't wake up until 9:00 AM(odd for an inkkeper-no?) there would have been many witnesses.
neways I may just be a back country chicken, but i think that is them Autoing.
ssssooooooooo im going to post in the place, and just keep on truckin'... just try to keep it from autoing please.

Alright Ninjz. I understand your point, so now understand mine. DDI has been up for how long and it has only gotten this far. I know that some of it was my fault, but I just wanted to get it moving so that the players would enjoy it more.
Now as for the everybody would be up by 9:00 thing. There were dark magical creatures that did the act and there are such things as sleep/befuddlement spells. Once again I apologize about everything and I will say that if I do it again I WILL ask permision from the players first.
