The Avalon Academy was nestled on huge land and standing for many more years than the surrounding buildings in Bendelsain. In fact much of Bendelsain itself was built around the old Building that was now an Academy. Even so it had a mysterious air to it and it was astonishingly easy to overlook the ancient building and land. Rolling Hills move over the landscape for miles before the Building comes into view, its red brick walls clash against the backdrop of the sky, behind the Academy slithers the Bendelsain River.
The History of the Historic Building is somewhat hidden and nobody knows the truth behind the ancient sandstone walls but the headmaster Talisen, though nobodies ever heard him speak of the buildings history. Rumour has it however that the building was used by the old people of Morthika the castle was used as a battle mage outpost years before the castle Kendelah was destroyed. Battle Mages are few and far between in Morthika, most were killed in the first battle between Moridanu and Lucien. The Castle resembles an old clock tower with high thin battlements, ramparts, high pointed rooftops and towers and the tallest point of the building is the old broken down watchtower, the Bell only tolls and the clock only ticks when Morthika and The Academy itself is in peril.
Ancient Magic's guard the Castle and its inhabitants that only the headmaster truly understands, the land and building itself is a huge arcane hot spot drawing Arcane energies from the land and the students creating a powerful collective sieve.
Towards the West side of the Academy a deep long lake can be seen joining into the main River that runs behind the Academy, though this lake is very murky and has a faint green hue, Lily pads float serenely on the surface, a yellow glow can sometimes be seen illuminating deep within the lake.
The Academy offers placement to students from 13 up until adulthood, the lessons change and get harder that further along the years the students choose to go and which field they would like to major in. the girls and boys dorms and there age are all separated in to separate dorm rooms, each room is protected by magics. Students are chosen by ability, desire and goodness. The Academy teaches everything from Combat training, Sword ship and Alchemy to sewing and cooking.
Students who have been accepted to the Academy will feel an unusual itching on there forearms soon afterwards a small tattoo will appear that notify the students that they have been accepted.
