A long long time ago, the land was filled with equality, prey, water and peace. There were three main prides in the land. The lions - Jema Pride meaning good. The tigers - Tani pride meaning strength and the jaguars - Hodari pride meaning clever. All of whom were friends and family.
Then, when the queen lioness gave birth to the kings cubs, all changed. Two of the four cubs survived past cubhood. The older, Kizuri, which means kind or good in swahili was the favorite among all the lions. They treated him like he was the future king, which he was. His younger brother, Katili, meaning cruel and brute in swahili, despised his brother. Katili wanted to be king, he was stronger and braver than his older brother Kizuri.
Katili and Kizuri fought often. And one day a large fight broke out, in which Katili Killed their father. This battle cause the pride to slip and they each went their separate ways. Kizuri took a few lionesses East, along with their mother, Neema, where he soon raised a family of his own, in honor, respect and leadership. While Katili went West, calling his pride, the Baya pride meaning evil. He found many stray lionesses along the way and took them into his pride. He too raised a family, but with different qualities. Bravery, fierceness and brutality was the ways he taught his pride.
Katili would roam the lands, killing all in his way. He killed prey just for the fun of it, wasting the lands food. He killed any animal who crossed his path. Katili would go into the Jaguars and Tigers territory and kill their young and their weak. The Jaguars and Tigers would go to Kizuri, pleading for help to subdue his savage brother. But none could bare to face Katili, let alone take him down. Now Katili has gone beyond the limits and forced the cheetahs into slavery. Beating them into submission and making them carry out dangerous tasks and living the life in a cage, surrounded by bars of death and torture.
Now the land is bare, with little water and little food. Katili roams the land where ever he pleases, with his pride of angry lionesses following behind him. Kazuri tries his best to defend his family and the other two prides. But his pride is not as big as Katili's, he must join together with the Jaguars and Tigers to take his menacing brother down, and free the land of Katili's hold.
Which side will you pledge your faithfulness to? Kazuri and the Jema pride, Jaguars and the Hodari pride or the Tigers and the Tani pride who will all fight as one. Maybe be a cheetah to do Katili's bidding, trying to hide in the shadows while coming up with a plan to rebel. Or will you kneel to Katili and the Baya pride blinded by the promise of power?
