Standing on top of the tallest mountain in Isalamae the Royal Gaurd listened as King Roland explained the mission to the team Roland had assembled. The Gaurd had been having a hard time understanding what was so special about the group, but so far their King had not been wrong. Not about where the people in the group could be found, not about the mountain they all were standing on, and not about the giant floating island that was heading their way. *King Roland* "As you can see before you the legend of existance 'Sky World' is real and that means the rest of the legend must be true also. In the old stories there is mention of something up there that will end this horrid war. All of you are in all likelyhood wondering why I have asked you to get this 'war ender' for me and the answer to that question is that there is no reason. I saw each of you and knew that you were the kind of people I needed. We all pray that I am not wrong, because the island you see floating before you will only remain close enough to this mountain for travel between the two for a year. If you cannot complete your mission by that time then we may never be able to end this war. Now go fufill your destiny and do not forget, we are all counting on you." Through the clouds came the giant flying island and what the Gaurd saw was beyond anything they could have imagined. The legends described it as an island, but it was more like a small continent. On the surface of the 'island' was grass, trees, all manner of creatures, and buildings. Most of the 'island' was still in the clouds, but there was a tall shadowy column hiding in the clouds that stood higher than anything else yet seen on the 'island'. Right in front of them a small cloud had been clinging to something, but it had let go and a sign with a single word written on it came into veiw. Roland quickly translated the ancient runes, said, "Welcome to the island of Eamalasi, where your greatest adventure begins." and walked away with the Royal Gaurd, leaving the party alone on the mountain with Eamalasi only a stride away. (I hope this is a good enough beginning. )

Tekk's forked tounge flicked out repeatedly as he listened to Roland's words. Listening didn't quited describe what Tekk was doing since he didn't much care for what the man he dubbed "Rolly" said, he was just there to improve his abilities. When Rolly finished his speech, Tekk's head snapped around since he had been daydreaming. For the first time Tekk looked at the island floating in front of them.
He flexed his arms, legs and wings getting the blood flowing once again. The movement of his wings was unimpeaded for two reasons the first being that he didn't bring his staff or spear, and second that he had no shirt. With out caring what the rest of the group did, Tekk took to the sky and flew over the island. With a critical eye Tekk surveyed the area and determined there was no threat too close to the group, or more importantly him. Still, Tekk had yet to speak with any of his new found comrades. After his brief glimpse, he landed and waved the others on.

Jemarcus, eyes wide open, and sitting, listened carefully to Rolands words. When Roland finished, he took in a deep breath and closed his eyes. Feeling calm, he opened his eyes... of course, to see nothing, for he is blind. He moved his right hand from the ground under him to the overly large scroll attached to his back. He smirked, "This place sounds boring... but I see what I can do."

(You didn't screw up at all but I would have liked it if you had said you went on the island. Also Catrux the king's name is Roland not Rolloth. Rolloth is from DDI.)
Domar stood in awe of what he saw before him. A giant floating island only a step away and no one had ever seen it before. *I wonder how much magic it took to rip something so huge from the ground and keep it so high up in the air?* Domar thought to himself. He had not seen anything like it since he was young, but the fact that it exsisted did not surprise him at all. As the king left his new 'comrads' started stiring. One made a comment about the place being boring, which slightly annoyed him, and the other flew over to the island and, after landing, waved them over. Domar put his gleaming sword on his shoulder and took his first step onto Eamalasi. "Regardless of what you think," Domar said to the darker skinned man, "I find this place to be amazing."

Looking out over the vast island, Firith wondered if there were any people there. He knew all too well how vile others could be, and he knew that he wouldnt be accepted by these others. He lifted the heavy chans off the ground and swung them to a resting position onto his back. Many though that this practice would be painfull, but it was nothing compared to the slash of the whip or the weight of the plow. He proceded onto the island, grabbing the little pack that contained all of his possesions.

I think someone is going to have to point me to the direction of the island."

Firith was suprised that a blind man was among the group, but then again, since he was there, the sigma against cripples mustnt be so bad here. "It is this way"

Jemarcus turns in the direction Firith points him to, "Thanks, now all I need to do is jump up there." He reaches for the large scroll on his back and took it off. After laying the accessory down he started to stretch his legs out.

Satisfied that the group is following, Tekk took to the air once again to furthur his investigation. As the self-appointed leader he felt it was his job to make sure the others were safe, well that and he didn't think they would be able to take care of themselves. While in the air, Tekk noticed some gardens and decided to investigate. He set down not far from them and approached cautiously, listening and watching for any movement.

Jemarcus, feeling good and stretched, grabbed the large scroll and threw it at the island. As soon as it hit, a large explosion came from the impact. Following the explosion, Jemarcus literally jumped up to the exact spot where the explosion came from.

(This is Domar, I'm just using a different profile for the sake of differenciating my char posts and events/enemys)
People were invading the sacred grounds and one went so far as to even cross the treshold into the gardens. Soon these people would find the heart and that must not happen. The self proclaimed protectors decided to put a stop to the invaders by making an example of the one that had entered the gardens. The small lizard men waited until Tekk landed to throw their javalins at him, unsheath their weapons, and charge. 'Kyyyaaaaaaaiiiiiiii" was their call, battle cry and alarm to the others all at once.

Due to the heightened senses characteristic to his race, Tekk heard the asailants arms brush against the foliage before the javelins were thrown. He quickly wrapped his wings around himself, guarding his vital areas. After the barrage ceased, Tekk opened his wings violently revealing him knocking a non-existant bow with three equally non-existant arrows. Turning the bow sideways he aimed at three of his attackers and loosed his imaginary arrows. The thre he was aiming at dropped as though they had been hit.
Tekk seemingly forgot about the bow and waded into the little army acting as though he was now weilding a sword. The most disturbing part of his actions was that even though he wasn't grasping anything, wounds showed up consistant with the type of weapon he pretended to be using. Tekk didn't care if anyone else joined the fight, infact he would probably have more fun if they didn't.

Jemarcus landed on the large island and stumbled a bit. After gaining balance he walked around until his foot tapped the scroll. He bent over and lifted the scroll up then he strapped it back, using the leather strap that he had kept earlier. He turned and started walking towards the area were Tekk is fighting.

(Sorry about the long wait you guys.) Domar watched as the reptilian creatures attacked Tekk and as he easily dispatched the creatures. With only his sword, and magic that would cause more harm than help, Domar only had enough time to run up to Tekk before the creatures were all slain. Domar stopped himself next to Tekk and started to examine the bodies. "Though they are a bit more primative these are definately Trogladites and where a few are more will be near, so watch yourself," Domar announced to the group, keeping his questions about the Dragonspawn's unseen weapons to himself. Domar stood up and looked down the stone path which lead into the clouds up ahead. "Well then. If we're done here then I suggest we move on." Domar then started walking down the path.

(OOC: soory it took me so long to post, and that its so short...)
Aleera quietly took in everything that King Roland said, while scanning the others in the group and the horizon for trouble. She barely even noticed that floating island had arrived, she snapped back into attention when she heard the THUD bodys hitting the ground. She scurried up the path to catch up with the group when her sharp eyes took in the sight of several bodys sprawled across the ground, blood seeping from open wounds.
(oh and I fixed the post... that should be better... somewhat)
